Dedicated to integrating cutting-edge technologies into agricultural operations, the Centre for Agricultural Technology Transfer (QTTB Vlora) focusses on the establishment and maintenance of citrus plantations, orchards, vineyards, and olive groves.
Our centre was created on July 19, 2006, by Council of Ministers Decision No. 515, following the reorganisation of Scientific Research Institutes under the purview of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Consumer Protection.
For the cultivation of fruit trees, olives, vines, and citrus, we identify, evaluate, adapt, and implement contemporary technologies and inputs.
We offer complete technology packages and standard projects for setting up citrus plantations, vineyards, olive groves, and orchards.
We offer expert training and technical support for the design, building, and administration of nurseries and plantations.
We cultivate and supply certified plant material for nurseries, including citrus, fruit trees, and vineyards.
We carry out studies and experiments in response to concerns expressed by farmers about citrus, fruit trees, olives, and vines.
We provide training for farmers, agricultural specialists, and others who are interested.
We showcase the latest techniques for growing citrus, fruit trees, olives, and vines. Additionally, we develop and share educational resources for farmers and agricultural experts.
We focus on the specific needs and challenges of our region, conducting agro-testing for other centers as required.
Through the years we have initiated multiple projects to tackle local issues and provided hands-on training opportunities for students from the Agricultural University and other educational institutions.
Through research, education, and knowledge sharing, QTTB Vlora is committed to promoting agricultural innovation, supporting farmers, and enhancing agricultural practices.
